I got my first taste of computers on my father's tower PC with a cathode ray monitor in Agavedzi, a small village in Ghana's Volta Region — no internet, no tutorials, no teacher, no mentor, just curiosity and a lot of trial and error.

That tinkering turned into a BSc in Physics, a move to Prague, and a career that's taken me from IT technician to Systems Engineer to building cloud infrastructure at scale across AWS, Azure, and GCP. Today I design CI/CD pipelines, ship Infrastructure as Code, and teach the next generation of engineers through FirstByte and Jomacs — because I know what it means to start from nothing.

Engineering Across the Full Stack

From bare-metal infrastructure to cloud-native deployments โ€” I bring systems to life and keep them running.

Cloud Infrastructure & IaC

Designing and managing AWS environments with EC2, ECS Fargate, S3, CloudFront, Route 53, ACM, and WAF โ€” fully codified with Terraform for repeatable, auditable infrastructure.

AWS Terraform CloudFront

CI/CD & DevOps Automation

Building GitHub Actions pipelines with OIDC-based AWS authentication, automated deployments, and container workflows โ€” enabling fast, reliable, and secure software delivery.

GitHub Actions Jenkins Docker Kubernetes

Jomacs IT Solutions ยท Remote, Canada

  • Own the full CI/CD lifecycle โ€” designing, shipping, and maintaining pipelines in GitHub Actions and Jenkins that teams actually rely on, with 99.9% uptime across managed services.
  • Architect and manage AWS environments (EC2, S3, ECS, EKS, VPC) entirely in Terraform โ€” infrastructure that's repeatable, auditable, and cost-optimised through automated resource management.
  • Wire up cross-system integrations end-to-end: API deployments, gateway connections, and real-time Slack notifications so engineers always know what shipped and when.
  • Run the observability stack (Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios) โ€” set the SLOs, hold the on-call rotation, and make sure every incident ends with a fix that sticks.
  • Teach GitHub Actions to DevOps and dev teams โ€” covering pipeline architecture, secrets hygiene, SAST gates, self-hosted runners, and production deployment patterns.
  • Co-founded FirstByte โ€” a free, community-driven bootcamp that gets beginners into systems engineering and DevOps without the paywall.
Celonis
Senior Systems Engineer โ€” Infrastructure Oct 2022 โ€“ Jul 2023

Celonis / Make ยท Prague, Czech Republic

  • Ran hybrid infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and on-prem data centres (HPE, Qumulo) โ€” all provisioned and version-controlled with Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
  • Automated the full identity lifecycle for 5,000+ accounts spanning AD, Azure AD, GPO, Intune, and Workday โ€” PowerShell, Bash, and Python scripts enforcing least-privilege at scale so nothing slipped through manually.
  • Designed and maintained 30+ GitHub Actions pipelines pushing configuration changes directly into Azure Automation Runbooks โ€” turning manual ops work into repeatable, auditable deployments.
  • Held full ownership of SSO and SSL/TLS certificate lifecycles for enterprise SaaS in Azure โ€” zero unplanned downtime on my watch.
  • Stood up CheckMK monitoring across 1,000+ hosts and services, with Slack-routed alerting that gave the team eyes on the environment before users noticed anything.
  • Coordinated incident response across teams against SLAs tracked in Jira and ServiceNow โ€” focused on resolution speed and making sure the same issue didn't come back.
Concentrix
Systems Administrator Aug 2020 โ€“ Sep 2022

Concentrix (ex Webhelp Ent. Sales Solutions) ยท Prague, Czech Republic

  • Kept the network and server estate running โ€” responsible for stability, performance, and availability across a busy enterprise environment.
  • Managed the full endpoint fleet: software deployment via EDR tooling, asset tracking with Lansweeper, and keeping the estate clean and accounted for.
  • Owned Windows infrastructure day-to-day โ€” upgrades, troubleshooting, domain management, and making sure systems stayed current and stable.
  • Handled on-site and remote support across the organisation, triaging incidents quickly and escalating the right things to the right people.
Microsoft
Solutions Assessment Consultant Aug 2019 โ€“ Jul 2020

Microsoft via Concentrix ยท Prague, Czech Republic

  • Worked directly with UK SMBs to assess their M365/O365 environments โ€” finding the security gaps that internal teams had missed and turning them into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Ran Active Directory security assessments that surfaced real vulnerabilities, then worked with clients to map out structured remediation rather than just handing over a report.
  • Advised on M365 architecture and licensing โ€” helping organisations phase their rollouts across Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams in a way that made sense for their size and budget.
  • Brought Zero Trust and IAM principles into client conversations, translating security best practices into adoption plans that stakeholders could actually follow through on.
Numeto
IT Technician Mar 2018 โ€“ Aug 2019

Numeto (ex Tabella) ยท Prague, Czech Republic

  • First point of contact for technical issues โ€” installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware and software across the organisation.
  • Tested and evaluated new hardware and software before rollout, writing up assessments and upgrade recommendations that informed purchasing decisions.
  • Ran daily backup operations and handled system upgrades, keeping everything compatible and nothing left to chance.

Featured Projects

Real-world infrastructure and DevOps engineering projects โ€” built, deployed, and maintained in production.

Cloud-Native IoT Data Pipeline on Amazon EKS

A production-grade, multi-region log processing system built to handle IoT sensor telemetry at scale. Events flow in through SQS into modular Python processors, land in S3 and DynamoDB, and scale automatically with KEDA. The full observability stack — Prometheus, Loki, Grafana via OpenTelemetry — is baked in from day one. Infrastructure lives in Terraform and Helm; deployments go through GitHub Actions OIDC pipelines with manual approval gates before touching production.

Self-Hosted CI/CD Platform on EKS with Actions Runner Controller

Replaced expensive hosted runners with a self-healing, autoscaling CI/CD platform on Amazon EKS using Actions Runner Controller (ARC). Terraform handles all AWS resource provisioning — S3, IAM, Secrets Manager — and GitHub Actions wires it all together. The result is a secure, cost-efficient pipeline platform that scales with workload demand and recovers from failures without manual intervention.

Real-Time Multi-Source Data Sync Pipeline

Designed and built an event-driven ETL pipeline that pulls from REST APIs, PostgreSQL change data capture, and S3 event triggers — consolidating everything into a centralised data lake via Kafka and AWS Glue. Lambda handles transformation logic, CloudWatch watches for data drift and consumer lag, and dead-letter queues catch anything that falls through. Infrastructure is fully Terraform-managed with a GitHub Actions delivery pipeline.

Full-Stack Cloud Infrastructure for a Nuxt 3 Application

Took a Nuxt 3 (Vue 3 + TypeScript) application from code to production by building out the entire AWS infrastructure in Terraform — Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudFront, DynamoDB for state locking, and Cognito for user management. GitHub Actions handles every deployment. The site is live at firstbyte.cz.

Security-Gated CI/CD Pipeline — SOC2 Compliance in Practice

Built a CI/CD pipeline for a Node.js e-commerce application where security isn't optional — SonarQube, Snyk, and Trivy run as hard gates that block the deployment if checks fail. No exceptions. The pipeline demonstrates what SOC2-aligned delivery actually looks like when it's enforced at the pipeline level rather than bolted on after the fact.

Containerised Workload Deployment on AWS ECS Fargate

Containerised an application and shipped it to AWS ECS Fargate through a GitHub Actions pipeline — no servers to manage, no cluster overhead. Images are built, pushed to ECR, and deployed automatically on every merge. A clean example of serverless container delivery done simply and reliably.

Production DevOps Stack for a Django Management System

Set up the full production infrastructure for a Django-based organisation management system running on Hetzner Cloud. Docker Compose ties together PostgreSQL, Redis, Nginx, and Celery; GitHub Actions handles zero-downtime deployments; SonarQube scans every push. The kind of setup that lets a small team ship confidently without a dedicated ops person on call.
